Mom Caring for Ill Child ‘Speechless’ at Secret Santa Gifts

A young mother in eastern Idaho recently received a huge surprise from a Secret Santa who blesses members of her community for Christmas.
Kassidy is a devoted mother to her two infant sons, and since the youngest boy, age 1, was diagnosed with a rare disease known as arthrogryposis, her family has made sure he received excellent care, East Idaho News reported Tuesday.
The outlet reported that the child’s condition causes stiffness in his muscles and joints, making it difficult to move.
According to the Johns Hopkins Medicine website, “Arthrogryposis, also called arthrogryposis multiplex congenita (AMC), is a term used to describe a variety of conditions involving multiple joint contractures (or stiffness). A contracture is a condition in which a joint’s range of motion is limited. It may be unable to fully or partially extend or bend.”
Kassidy takes her son to a specialist in Salt Lake City, making a long drive almost every week because her husband has to work. However, his appointments are currently on hold as he will have foot surgery in December. To help cover medical and travel costs, Kassidy even donated plasma.
When Secret Santa learned of the family’s struggles, he sent Nate Eaton and his point-of-sale team to give them $1,000 for gas, $2,000 for groceries and other needs, and a check for $5,000.
Kassidy was surprised to see Eaton at her door and said, “That’s so sweet” as she opened the presents. “I’m speechless. I don’t even know what to say,” she added while repeatedly thanking Eaton and his team for bringing so much joy to her family.
Social media users shared their thoughts on the touching clip, with one person writing: “Kassidy is truly one of the sweetest people in the world!! So happy to see her sacrifices and love being recognized and supported.”
“Blessed be your Secret Santa. God knows who you are and he’s smiling,” another person commented.
