Rockville, md. – A woman from Maryland with a long history of serious mental illness has been rearrupted and responsible for killing two of her children, who disappeared in 2014 as toddlers and were never found.

The new accusation act marks the last turn in a case that started with the disappearance of children and the subsequent revelations about the mental state of their mother, which led to its long hospitalization in a psychiatric establishment managed by the State, because it has been considered incompetent.

Catherine Hoggle, 38, was released from the hospital last month. After his release, a great jury gave it up for two first degree murder leaders, according to the office of the state prosecutor of the county of Montgomery. She was arrested on Friday.

An e-mail asking for comments was sent to Hoggle lawyer on Monday morning.

Hoggle is expected to appear in court on Monday afternoon for a hearing of the guarantees.

It is not clear why she was released from the hospital and if she has received psychiatric treatment to a different capacity since then.

Her children, Sarah and Jacob Hoggle, were respectively 3 and 2 years old when they were seen for the last time in September 2014. Catherine Hogggle also disappeared at the same time. The father of the children reported them all. Hoggle was found a few days later, walking in a neighboring town. Police said they had refused to tell them where the children were.

It was initially arrested and charged with negligence and removal, two crimes. She was sent to the psychiatric hospital managed by the state for treatment.

Then in 2017, she was charged with murders. A judge judged that she was incompetent to be tried and imposed continuous treatment by the court. Under state law, the authorities were five years old to restore their skills before the charges were rejected.

Her lawyer, David Felsen, said that she was suffering from a serious mental illness. She has a history of schizophrenia and was treated with antipsychotic drugs after her arrest.

In 2022, a county judge of Montgomery abandoned the accusations against her, citing the five -year period. Hoggle received the order to remain involuntarily engaged for psychiatric treatment because it was always considered a danger for itself or for others.

The state prosecutor of Montgomery County John McCarthy said that if she was no longer considered a threat and released, he was ready to invoice her again with murder.

The father of children, Troy Turner, recognized Hoggle’s mental illness, saying that she was acting erratic and paranoid before the disappearance of children. He said at the AP in 2014 that she had started to show signs of psychosis and had received a diagnosis of paranoid schizophrenia. But he later said that she pretends incompetence.
