Montana bar shooting suspect still at large after four killed in Anaconda

The man accused of killing four people in a Montana bar on Friday morning lived next to the Montana Ministry of Justice.

The authorities have identified the suspect, who, according to them, entered the OWL bar in Anaconda and opened fire, like Michael Paul Brown, 45. He remains in freedom and the search for him continued in the weekend.

“Research is still focused on the Stomptown Road region both in the field and in the air and includes several local, state and federal agencies,” the Montana Ministry of Justice said on Saturday morning.

The ministry also confirmed that the victims killed during the shooting were a bartender and three customers. Officials did not publicly publish their names.

Brown would have entered the bar at 10:30 am and would have opened fire, killing four people, according to the director of investigations Lee Johnson with the Montana Ministry of Justice.

A shooting motif is still unknown at the moment.

The owner of the bar, David Gwerder, told the Associated Press that Brown knew everyone in the bar at the time of filming.

“He had no dispute with any of them. I think he just broke,” Gwerder said at the exit.

Brown’s niece, Clare Boyle, told the Associated Press that his uncle had mental health problems.

“It is not only a drunk / high man who is unleashed,” she wrote in an article on Facebook quoted by the AP. “He is a sick man who does not know who he is sometimes and often does not know where or when he is either.”

Authorities said Brown wore a tie -shaped shirt, blue jeans and an orange bandana on Friday. However, a photo published on Saturday by Montana Doj showed him flee the scene, apparently stripped of its boxers.

The authorities have urged anyone who sees Brown to call 911. It is supposed to be armed and dangerous, according to the County Center for the County of Anaconda-deer Lodge.
