NGO Linked to Funding LA’s Anti-ICE Riots Also Has Interesting Connections With CA Redistricting – RedState

This is the third episode of a series examining the role of the coalition of NGOs funded by taxpayers for the rights of human immigrants-Los Angeles (Chirla) in anti-government policy and riots in California.
In early June, President Trump was forced to send the National Guard to Los Angeles to restore calm after days of riots and violence against the federal immigration officers. Violence began after Angelica Salas, executive director of the coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights (Chirla), held a press conference by denouncing the arrest of the head of the Seiu, David Huerta, who had attacked ice agents carrying out application activities and calling for large demonstrations against ice. On the podium, Salas was flanked by four members of the Los Angeles Municipal Council, a member of the AC State assembly, a senator from the State of AC and other elected officials, who are all Democrats.
Hundreds of “demonstrators” have turned into a thousands of rioters before a long time, with matching t-shirts and panels printed by professionals, signaling the involvement of organizations with a certain degree of funding behind them.
On the basis of a decade of monitoring Astroturfed movements in Los Angeles, the Redstate quickly identified Chirla and the Party of Socialism and Liberation (PSLWEB) as two of the main non -governmental organizations which merger violence – and an examination of the finances of Chirla revealed that the state and federal taxpayers financed the lion of the activities of Chirla.
Dive deeper Riots funded by taxpayers: here is what we found when we followed the money in Los Angeles
While Chirla is at the head of this particular operation, the tentacles of the organization itself and its head, Angelica Salas, spread to California and at the national level, while I presented myself on Fox News at night on June 10.

Our continuing investigation has revealed several other left NGOs (some NGOs funded by the SOROS) that Salas directs either or for which it serves as a member of the board of directors, the group’s links with the allegedly independent Californian citizens’ redistribution commission, and Chirla serving as a placement in the 2022 and 2024 general elections.
CA Racial Equity Commission
In 2023, at the time, at the time, the financing of the State of Chirla made the president of the ACA assembly, Anthony Rendon, appointed Salas to the new CA racial actions commission, a government government entity. What a coincidence.
Interestingly, the Commission was formed via a Newsom decree after a bill to establish the group died in the Assembly in 2022.
California Wellness Foundation
Salas is also part of the board of directors of California Wellness Foundation, a non -profit organization formed in 1992 when Healthnet, then the biggest state insurer, converted to the non -profit organization in for -profit status. CA WELLNESS Foundation comes from its initial mission to become a group of social justice and defense. Here is what was said in 1991 on how the group would be formed:
“The foundation will be governed by a board of directors of seven administrators, who all have a history of medical or professional health.
And now? There are 14 members of the Board of Directors, many of whom have no training in professional medicine or health care, and subsidies in community health centers focused on disease prevention, children’s health care and prenatal care are only part of the millions they distribute each year – therefore fundamentally, another layer of financing for agitators.
Their “beliefs” are now a word salad of socialist objectives.
Power action
Salas is the president of Powerca Action, previously mobilizing the voting fund for immigrants. The group says they have registered and pre-recorded more than 100,000 voters. The group receives funds from George Soros foundations to the company Open.

The alliance for a new economy
Salas also sits on the board of directors of Los Angeles Alliance for a new economy (Laane), which is essentially a front for organized work. They work with local section 18 of the IBEW, UTLA (La Teachers’ Union), UFCW 770, Local Local 11, Seiu-USWW.
Remember that it was the arrest of the president of the Seiu, David Huerta, for having interfered in federal immigration application activities that Salas and his comrades used as an excuse to call for violent uprisings in Los Angeles.
Action fund on the field flank
Then Salas is an “adviser to the liberation fund” with the action fund of the land surface, another non -profit organization (with arms C3 and C4). Their mission:
“The Fund of the field surface strengthens the American movements of reproductive and social justice in resources by organizing and centering the leaders of women of color – in particular those who are black, native and transgender.”
Groupswell has received $ 5,900,000 from the Foundations of the Soros Open Society since its creation in 2017.
Unite it
And then we unite, a public / private partnership for which Salas is a member of the board of directors / secretary of the board of directors. This group claims that its mission is to “unravel traditional silos to re-concentrate and reinvent our education systems to put students first and obtain improved results for students who are un served from Los Angeles”. Put students first – what a new concept. But what the organization does is more of the same thing – indoctrine students and create malleable Marxist soldiers.
Vote
In 2022 and 2024, Chirla participated in the County Flex voting voting voting voting program, which means that officials of the county of the county set up official voting machines at the headquarters of Chirla for a day during the early vote.

According to the county registrar:
“The Flex Voting Center program began in 2020 when the county implemented the voting system for voting solutions for all (VSAP). The objective of this program is to meet voters that are difficult to reach and have them voted. Communities that the priority flex voting program is:
- Higher life facilities
- People who experience homelessness
- Disabled voters
- Geographically isolated voters “
None of these communities is the community that Chirla serves, the majority of which are illegal foreigners – who should not vote anyway.
Another Karen Bass document?
After the story of Redstate on Chirla’s participation in riots and anti-ice violence (as well as the great work of Laura Powell and Data Republican), several federal surveys were announced in the financing of Chirla. In mid-July, the mayor of Los Angeles, Karen Bass, announced a plan to distribute cash cards to illegal foreigners in the city who remained at the Maison du Travail for fear of being swept away in an immigration raid. These “Angeleno cards”, Affected Bass, would not be funded by taxpayers but rather “philanthropic partners” and would be distributed by “groups of immigrant rights such as the coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles”, according to Los Angeles Times.
But the representative Kevin Kiley (R-CA), who introduced a bill that would make NGOs involved in the organization of illegal riots ineligible for federal funding or exempt tax status, stressed that, since Chirla received $ 34 million in taxpayers, the dollars of taxpayers are at least partially Angeleo cards.
The situation now payments in cash for illegal immigrants supposed “affected” by ice operations.
The affirmation of the mayor that this is funded by private is false. The cash cards will be given by the “non -profit” Chirla, which received $ 34 million in taxpayers’ funding. pic.twitter.com/q6i2mr0rsr

CA Citizens Redistrict Commission
Last week, Governor Gavin Newsom held a rally disguised at a press conference to announce his “Act respecting the response to electoral fueling”, which is in fact a plan to circumvent the constitution of California and the will of state voters, to implement a motivated GERRYMAN of the State to use elections in 2026, 2028 and 2030. Salas. Sadhwani, member of California Citizens Redistrict Commission, who surprised observers with his very partisan speech. Here is a bit of what she said:
“”[T]It is extraordinary and extraordinary times require extraordinary measures.
“We have witnessed masked armed men kidnapping our street neighbors, and I understand that they are waiting again to do so. Graves.
Sadhwani began his career in leftist activism as soon as the university is released as a federal director of politics, you guessed it, Chirla, and the two have been in contact over the years, speaking of panels together and working in collaboration on behalf of the “marginalized communities”. Applicants for the Commission can join up to three letters of recommendation at their request; The first letter attached to Sadhwani’s request comes from Salas, who said:
“Doctor Sadhwani has shown a well -developed capacity to synthesize and communicate complex law and policy in a way that made him accessible for wider public consumption – a set of skills that will improve his role as part of the Commission has established to restart state districts. Also during her mandate, she directed the efforts to advocate Chirla, in collaboration with the national scale, national political experts to examine and develop their own legislative parties.
“When Professor Sadhwani went from Chirla, I continued to observe his work among the Americans of Asian origin advancing justice, where she worked with communities of the whole state to mobilize a network of American defenders of Asian origin.”
Sadhwani’s inclusion and its close and continuous links with groups like Chirla, raise major questions about how these independent redistribution commissioners are chosen and the restrictions on which can participate.
Without a doubt, Chirla will be part of Governor Newsom’s efforts to deny the voice of the Californians, who have voted massively, many times, to prevent politicians from drawing districts. We will continue to monitor their activities and if taxpayers support them.
