More than 31 tons of breaded chicken recalled because of undeclared soy

Suzanna’s Kitchen of Suwanee, Georgia, is recalling 62,550 pounds of breaded and fully cooked bone-in chicken products due to misbranding and an undeclared allergen, the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS) announced today.
The product contains soy, a known allergen, which is not declared on the product label. People with allergies or sensitivities to soy are at risk of serious illness and even life-threatening reactions if they consume this product.
The bone-in breaded chicken portions, cut into 8 pieces, were produced on October 16, 2025. The following product is subject to recall:
- 18 pounds. cases containing four units of “FULLY COOKED BREADED CHICKEN PORTIONS”, with case code “P-1380 126237 B30851 23:11 K04” printed on the side of the package.
The product subject to this recall has the USDA inspection mark on the case label and the establishment number “P-1380” printed on the side of the package.
These items were shipped to restaurants nationwide.
The problem was discovered when the company notified FSIS that it had identified a soy-containing chicken product that had been mislabeled with a product code that did not contain an allergen.
No adverse effects due to the consumption of these products have been confirmed. Anyone concerned about an injury or illness should contact a healthcare professional.
FSIS is concerned that some products may be found in restaurant refrigerators or freezers. Restaurants are asked not to serve this product; these items should be thrown away.
