The House has rejected Democratic Rep. Al Green’s (TX-09) 817th attempt to impeach President Trump.
Since it’s Friday, there aren’t many hearings or meetings scheduled, but the House Energy and Commerce Committee is holding a Members’ Day hearing this morning.
On Thursday, the Senate rejected Minority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) proposal to expand Obamacare funding. The Senate also approved the resolution to conduct bulk consideration of 97 of President Trump’s nominees.
What’s new at the White House
On Friday afternoon, President Trump will participate in the inauguration ceremony for CEO of the American International Development Finance Corporation and Chairman of EXIM Bank in the Oval Office. After that, he will participate in a bill signing ceremony.
