TOP O’LE MORNING’

Red Hot at RedState

California judge allegedly bypassed DA to offer sweetheart deal to pro-Hamas professor for murder of Jewish man

At the June 25 sentencing hearing, Judge Malan will hear victim impact statements and review a sentencing report regarding Alnaji, prepared by the Probation Service, before the formal sentence is handed down. We expect the courtroom to be full and prosecutors and eyewitnesses to present every possible evidence that Alnaji is not just a mild-mannered computer science professor.

Marco Rubio’s WH Press Secretary’s All-Day Gig Was Chaotic, Funny, and Surprisingly Brutal

Rubio was behind the podium at Tuesday’s White House press conference, assuming — for at least a day — the duties of press secretary Karoline Leavitt while she is on maternity leave. He walked into the press conference room with a sheepish smile on his face, knowing he was probably about to be memorized next week.

The Trump effect: Many IN state senators who refused to redistrict met the electoral ax

To a significant extent, this worked to Trump’s advantage. Those who predicted this would be a disaster and evidence of the decline of Trump’s influence are now eating their words.

Trend in town hall media

Bear Arms – Is Trump ready and willing to try to arm the Iranian people again?

I am certainly not opposed to the idea of an armed population revolting against the tyrannical rulers of the Islamic Republic. I just don’t know how easy it will be to get enough guns into the right hands to make a difference.

HotAir — “Are you giving up?” » Ken Griffin confirms “Miami Nice”

Basically, he told her: “The mayor made it clear we weren’t welcome, and that’s fine with me. The man and his company have options and he has never been afraid to exercise them.

PJ Media — It’s official: the climate scam has always been a scam

It’s nice when something you knew was a fraud all along turns out to be a fraud, but it’s even nicer when the perpetrators of the fraud admit it was a fraud all along.

Town Hall — “MAGA is dying”? Watch What They Did to Indiana’s Anti-Redistricting Republicans Last Night

Who cares, losers. It wasn’t a hard choice and you just don’t understand. It’s about winning, and if you don’t see how redistricting can help us, then GTFO.

Twitchy – Scott Jennings reacts to Indiana’s RINO redistricting bloodbath, Dems Psaki and Buttigieg cry over it

Voters are furious at Republicans for refusing to support Trump’s agenda and not fighting to keep states in the red.

WHAT’S ON THE POSTER?

Today, at the Capitol…

Congress, of course, remains away for a week of district work, but there is still activity on the Hill scheduled for Wednesday.

We also saw some interesting results in the Ohio and Indiana primaries on Tuesday, which could shape (or upend) the midterm elections.

Administrator. Environmental Protection Agency – Lee Zeldin — Zeldin has been busy. When he’s not teaching the ignorant creatures of Congress, he’s finding ways at the EPA to save American taxpayers. millions billions of dollars.

At the Trump EPA, we are proud to have saved American taxpayers $30 BILLION through staff reductions, agency reorganizations, real estate consolidations, canceled grants and unnecessary media subscriptions, as well as the closure of the Biden EPA Museum that almost no one visited or even knew about.

Plenary press…

Notable court rulings/developments from Tuesday include:

  • ❌ In Castanon Nava c. DHS (Immigration Enforcement – Regulations), the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals AFFIRMS in part, REVERSES in part the District Court Orders of 10/7 and 11/13.
  • ✅ In the case of United States v. Allen (attempted murder), DC grand jury returns four-count indictment for defendant.
  • ✅ In Lujan v. FMCSA (CDL for Aliens), the DC Circuit Court of Appeals DENIES petitioners’ request to suspend the regulations pending review, but GRANTS their request to expedite.

UPCOMING ATTRACTIONS

Secretary of State Marco Rubio is traveling to Italy, where he is scheduled to meet with Pope Leo XIV on Thursday morning. Rubio will also meet with Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and several Italian foreign ministers on Friday.

MORNING REFLECTION

I must confess to a certain degree of ambivalence towards the phrase “You sleep, you lose”. “Snooz” was a nickname of mine back in the day – it even adorned my license plate for a while – and I certainly don’t want to be associated with losing. That said, it seems rather apt to sum up the lesson that some Indiana Republicans were just served Tuesday night. They weren’t proactive on the redistricting front when they had the chance, and now…they’ve paid the electoral price.

There is another relevant saying: “Politics is not a poof.” This is not the case. It’s rough and chaotic, and the better angels of my nature don’t like it very much either. But the political landscape is very different than it was 10 or 15 years ago, and those who want to participate are either going to have to wake up to that reality and adapt, or be shown the door, as they were in Indiana on Tuesday.
