A woman from the New Hampshire who killed by a killing of two of her children and her husband before committing suicide was the subject of a suspicion of stealing money from her employer, police announced.

The bodies of Emily Long, 34, Ryan Long, 48 years old, Parker Long, 8 years old, and Ryan Long, 6 years old, were discovered inside their house in Madbury on August 18.

A third child, a toddler, was found in the unscathed house, police said.

Emily Long had worked at Wing-ITZ, a chain of chicken wings in New Hampshire, as operations director.

A complaint accusing him of Wing-ITZ theft was filed with the Hampton police service on August 11-seven days before the suicide murder, police announced.

“Our department has not been able to engage in a significant investigation before his premature death,” said Hampton police chief Alex Reno, noting that the case remains open but suspended.

Wing-ITZ did not immediately respond to a request for comments on Saturday.

Its owner, Derek Fisher, was not available when he was reached on Saturday by NBC News, but told Boston Globe this week that Long was suspected of diverting around $ 660,000 from the company over three years since January 2023.

“It was essentially my number two in my company. We worked in close collaboration,” he told the newspaper.

Fisher said that on June 18, he and his accountant noticed that a large number of checks in his business accounts had been written for a long time and deposited in his personal bank account.

He said he had confronted a long time that day and asked him to provide three months of his previous bank statements, which she returned on August 5. He reported that the declarations seemed unusual and that he took them to the Long Bank, who told him that the statements were “tampered with and manipulated”, according to Fisher.

He said he had faced again for a long time and asked him to accompany him to the bank and that she refused. Fisher said he had decided to give him time because he knew that her husband had been diagnosed with cancer a few months ago.

They had agreed to meet at the bank on August 11, but when the day came, Long sent a text to Fisher by saying “she resigns, or she could remain a kind of distant capacity, or I could terminate it,” Fisher at Boston Globe told.

He said he thought he had no other option than going to the police and lodging the complaint.

Fisher told the newspaper that he was no longer trying to recover the money.

“I have the impression that the child should get all these assets,” he said, referring to the toddler surviving. “It’s the only right thing, or what I think is fair.”

The restaurant wrote on Facebook on August 20: “Our hearts and prayers are with Emily Long family during this incredibly difficult period. We are deeply struck by sorrow to hear about their loss. Of all of us, we send our most sincere condolences. ”

The macabre discovery of the family killed two days earlier shocked the community.

Ryan Long died several shots and the two children died in one shot, officials said. Their death was tried homicides.

Long’s husband had received a diagnosis of brain cancer, and had published on the diagnosis on his Tiktok account, which was made private after the shots, the New Hampshire Union Leader reported.

The prosecutor’s office said that a reason was still inquiry.

“While investigators become aware of various concerns / problems underway in the household at the time of the event in question, people should avoid speculating that this event was caused by a single reason or a factor of stress,” said the prosecutor’s office.
