NASA Astronaut Jessica Meir – NASA

Meir launched NASA’s SpaceX Crew-12 mission to the International Space Station in February 2026 with fellow NASA astronaut Jack Hathaway, ESA (European Space Agency) astronaut Sophie Adenot and Roscosmos cosmonaut Andrey Fedyaev.
Meir was selected by NASA in 2013. Before becoming an astronaut, her scientific career focused on the physiology of animals in extreme environments. Meir served as a flight engineer on the International Space Station for Expeditions 61 and 62 and participated in the first all-female spacewalks.
