Nintendo Switch 2 Restock Tracker: Latest Confirmed Console Availability at All Major Retailers

Nintendo’s latest hybrid console, the Switch 2, hit shelves earlier this month. It’s been a wildly popular purchase, and as you might imagine, finding one can be a challenge. But it’s not impossible — which is where we come in. The new gaming console saw the highest global sales of any Nintendo device in its first four days, and every restock we’ve seen has consistently sold out fast, but fortunately, we are keeping an eye out to help you find a Switch 2 restock.
If you missed preorders and didn’t get to a release event, trying to get your hands on one will be a struggle. That’s why our dedicated shopping team is scouring the web for any availability, whether online or in-store, and bringing you all the latest updates. We’ve rounded up everything you need to know about current stocks below, and we’ll continue to update this page regularly in the coming days, so be sure to check back often.
Rolling restocks are expected, but the consoles sell out within minutes. That’s why we’re here to give you the latest info and to make sure you’re ready if you’re hoping to score one. We’re also keeping track of the accessories you’ll want for your new console, from screen protectors to cameras and beyond.
Currently, your best chance of getting a Switch 2 right away is visiting a store in person. That said, some retailers have warned that limited stock remains. Currently, Costco has the console listed as available, but remember that you’ll have to be a member to shop. GameStop’s website also confirms restocks have arrived in-store, so it’s worth checking locally. If you’re looking to buy internationally, you’ll have better luck. Both Canada and the UK have stock at various retailers right now. We’ve got details below.

Nintendo Switch 2 at Best Buy
Best Buy just had a Nintendo Switch 2 restock on June 23. It is now sold out online. If you missed it, you may be able to snag one in person at the nearest location.
You won’t find a Switch 2 online at Best Buy right now, but several users have reported limited stock in-store when checking the Best Buy app.
As with the US, Best Buy Canada is only offering in-person availability for the Switch 2 at the moment.
Samsung 256GB microSD Express
Even with the Switch 2’s boosted storage, you may want to increase its memory with a microSD card. This Samsung Express microSD is designed specifically for Nintendo’s new console and features a unique Mario-inspired design. It’s also available now, no wait required.
Nintendo Switch 2 at GameStop
As with other US retailers, the standalone console and Mario Kart World bundle are currently sold out online at GameStop. However, you may be able to find one at your nearest location if you’re lucky — but move fast, as stock is likely limited.
GameStop doesn’t have the standard or bundled versions of the Switch 2 available to buy online right now. The site says in-store restocks have arrived, so it’s worth checking your local store if you have one nearby.
The Switch 2 console is sold out, but the Mario Kart World bundle is in-stock at GameStop Canada (at time of publishing). But it’s important to note that orders are limited to one Switch 2 per household.
Nintendo Switch 2 at Walmart
Walmart just had a restock June 25 for Walmart Plus members. Now the console is sold out online. The retailer may have some in-person availability. While it’s likely sold out just about everywhere, you can check if any nearby stores have it in stock. There are some third-party sellers offering the console online at a markup, but that comes with a lot of risk and is best to avoid.
You may see stock online at Walmart, but there’s a good chance it’s at a much higher price than you would find elsewhere. Walmart allows third parties to sell the console at whatever price they want, which is why our recommendation is to verify you’re buying from Nintendo when shopping at Walmart.
Walmart Canada has both the standalone console and the Mario Kart World bundle in stock online right now (at time of publishing). Note that unverified third-party retailers are selling the standalone console and the Mario Kart World bundle for outrageously inflated prices. Still, we definitely recommend avoiding this — be sure to double-check that you’re getting the version marked as “sold and shipped by Walmart.”
Nintendo Switch 2 at Target
Target is sold out of the Nintendo Switch 2 online. However, Target is also technically offering in-person shopping — and if you’re lucky, you may be still able to find the Switch 2 in stock near you.
Target no longer has either version of the console online after the retailer’s most recent restock sold out. You can still shop for the console in-store, but we expect supplies are likely gone, except in rare cases.
Samsung 256GB microSD Express
Even with the Switch 2’s boosted storage, you may be looking to increase its memory with a microSD card. This Samsung Express microSD is designed specifically for Nintendo’s new console and even features a unique Mario-inspired design.
Nintendo Switch 2 at Newegg
As of now, Newegg is still sold out of both versions of the console, and it’s unclear when the next restock will be. It’s also worth noting that Newegg is slightly less popular than major retailers like Walmart or Target, which could give you a better chance of securing an order during any future direct restocks, so keep an eye out.
Both the standalone console and Mario Kart World bundle are currently sold out. Newegg has not announced a specific restock event, but we recommend checking back regularly. Note that third-party resellers with inflated prices are selling at Newegg right now, but we definitely recommend avoiding this.
This compact camera plugs directly into the Switch 2 console or dock’s USB-C port. It allows you to chat with friends or access in-game features for select titles. The camera has a wide-angle lens, which you can adjust to keep yourself in frame easily. It also automatically adjusts its brightness so your face is always visible.
Nintendo Switch 2 at Nintendo
To help combat scalpers, Nintendo requires you to have an invitation to purchase the Switch 2, with priority being given to Nintendo Switch Online members who’ve had a paid membership for at least 12 months and have had a minimum of 50 total gameplay hours as of April 2. These invitations are first come, first served and will be valid for 72 hours. You can still register now if you haven’t already.
As with its preorders, you’ll have to register and receive an invitation to purchase the Switch 2 directly from Nintendo. You can register your interest for either console, but you have to log in to do so.
Just like US shoppers, Canadian gamers will have to register and then wait to receive an invitation to purchase the Switch 2 directly from Nintendo.
Nintendo Switch 2 Pro Controller
As with the Switch 2 console, accessories like the $85 Pro Controller will require you to register for an invitation if you want to order one directly from Nintendo.
Nintendo Switch 2 at Amazon
The Switch 2 is not yet available at Amazon for US shoppers. That said, there was a brief window of time where the Mario Kart World bundle had a listing at Amazon, but that page has since gone down. We also haven’t seen the regular console listing just yet. We will keep you posted on when and if we see another page crop up and when it is finally available for purchase. Canadian shoppers can request an invite for either the standalone console or the Mario Kart World bundle.
You can’t get a Switch 2 from Amazon just yet, but a listing for the consoles recently appeared for a couple of days which suggests it could be happening soon.
Canadian shoppers can request an invite if they’re hoping to grab either the standalone console or the Mario Kart World bundle at Amazon.
Nintendo Switch 2 at Costco
Costco is one of the only retailers with online availability right now, but you’ll need to be a member to grab one of these consoles. Act fast if you don’t want to miss out.
Costco has a unique Switch 2 bundle in stock, but a Costco membership is needed to get it. This bundle includes the console and Mario Kart World, as well as a 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and upgrade packs for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom.
Nintendo Switch 2 at Staples
Several Staples stores around the country have the Switch 2 available for purchase in-store. You can check the list of participating locations here, but note that this does not reflect current availability. It’s worth noting that the retailer has announced on its site that stock is now very low.
Staples does not have the Switch 2 available to buy online, but you can find a limited supply of Switch 2 consoles available for purchase in-store. Please note that not all locations are participating, and orders are limited to one per person. Supplies are very low according to Staples.
UK Nintendo Switch 2 orders
UK shoppers have had a little more luck with stock. The Nintendo Switch 2 console is currentlyavailable for purchase directly from Nintendo and through Very. You can also order from EE right now if you’re an EE mobile customer. Other online retailers recently had stock, but it is currently sold out. John Lewis currently lists limited stock in-store at select locations. We’ll continue to check for restocks elsewhere and keep you posted.
Note: We have no confirmation that the digital download code for Mario Kart World in the UK Switch 2 bundle will work with non-UK Nintendo accounts. The power cables are also different for each region. If you plan to buy a UK Switch 2 from outside the country, please know there’s no guarantee it’ll work as expected.
The Switch 2 standalone console and the Mario Kart World bundle are currently sold out at Amazon UK (at the time of publishing).
Unlike the US and Canada, UK shoppers don’t need an invitation to purchase the Switch 2 directly from Nintendo. You will, however, need a paid Nintendo Online Membership. Games and accessories are also available now.
Both versions of the console are currently sold out online, however there is select stock of the Mario Kart World bundle available in-store (at time of publishing).
Both the standalone console and Mario Kart World bundle are currently out of stock online (at the time of publishing).
ShopTo previously had the Switch 2 and the Mario Kart World bundle available for “backorder.” This opportunity has now sold out and is unavailable.
The standalone console is not currently available, however Very has several Mario Kart World bundle offers on offer as part of various bundles that include bonus games, microSD cards and more (at time of publishing). If you purchase one of these bundles they should be delivered July 4.
Both the standalone console and the Mario Kart World bundle are currently sold out online and in-store (at time of publishing).
The basic console is sold out, but the Mario Kart World bundle is currently in stock (at time of publishing). You have to be an EE mobile customer to buy.
Both versions are both sold out online (at time of publishing).
The console is not currently available, but you’ll also find plenty of games and accessories in stock.
There’s no joy for Nintendo fans at The Game Collection right now, with listings for the Switch 2 console and the Mario Kart World bundle showing as out of stock.
When can I order the Nintendo Switch 2?
The Switch 2 is available now, though you’ll likely have a challenging time getting your hands on one. The vast majority of retailers are currently sold out online, and while there may be some stragglers available for purchase in-store, it will ultimately depend on where you’re located. We’ll be keeping a close eye on stocks as they fluctuate in the coming days, so be sure to check this page often for the latest on availability.

How much does the Nintendo Switch 2 cost?
There was some concern that the new US tariffs were going to lead to some significant price hikes on the standalone console and the Mario Kart World bundle. Fortunately, Nintendo has confirmed that the original pricing still stands. The console is available for $450, with the Mario Kart World bundle priced at $500. However, there has been a change to the price of some accessories, with some increasing by $5.
Will the Nintendo Switch 2 come in other colors?
For the new Switch 2, Nintendo has ditched the colored Joy-Cons for a more sleek, monochrome look — although there are still pops of red and blue around the analog sticks. As of now, Nintendo hasn’t said anything about additional colors. Additionally, it’s rumored that Samsung — which makes the displays for the Switch 2 — is pushing for an OLED version of the console.
Is the Nintendo Switch 2 Mario Kart World Bundle worth it?
The Mario Kart series has been a long-standing tentpole for Nintendo and fans were thrilled to hear that a new title would be accompanying the new console. But the excitement was dampened by the announcement that the new game will come with an increased price tag: $80 for the digital edition or $90 if you want a physical copy. However, you can bundle a digital copy with the console for $500 total, which saves you $30 compared with buying them separately. It’s an excellent value if it’s a game you’re certain you want in your library and likely the only “discount” we’ll see on this title for quite some time. Plus, Nintendo recently announced that this bundle will be available only “through fall 2025,” which means you’ll have a limited chance to take advantage of these savings.
Nintendo Switch 2: What are people saying?
There are still some mixed feelings about Nintendo’s newest console. While some are happy to see that Nintendo hasn’t altered much about the wildly popular original Switch, others feel not enough has changed to justify the $150 price hike — with CNET gaming expert Scott Stein calling it a console that “feels a lot like an updated version of a system many people already own.” The confirmation that the US tariffs won’t be leading to any further price increases has helped stifle gamers’ exasperation a bit, but many are still unhappy with the fact that select games will be selling for up to $20 more than the standard $60. We’re eager to see if most gamers consider the price hikes worth it now that they’re finally getting their hands on the new console and games.
