Nvidia’s app gets global DLSS override and more control panel features

The NVIDIA application obtains improvements to DLSS replacement, more functionalities of the control panel and G-Assist project changes this week. Nvidia has gradually improved its new application in the last 18 months since its release, and it is close to the fully migration of all the inherited control panel options.
This week’s NVIDIA application update will include anisotropic, aliasing and ambient occlusion filter options, which means that you will not have to navigate to the NVIDIA configuration panel application to improve conventional games. The configuration tool for NVIDIA SUROUND will also be part of the NVIDIA application now.
You will also not have to configure the DLSS replacement features on a game basis, because Nvidia now adds a global option. You can define your DLSS preferences on all supported games, and the superposition of Nvidia will also show which DLSS parameters are active if you activate this option.
Nvidia also brings its new Smooth Motion feature, which was previously exclusive to GPUs in the RTX 50 series, to all the owners of the RTX 40 series. This is a driver -based AI model that allows a smoother gameplay for games that do not support the generation of DLSS. A gentle movement can be applied to the games in progress with DLSS Super Resolution, to native resolution, or even titles with other scaling technologies. Nvidia says that it will generally double “the frequency of perceived images”.
If you are a fan of the Ai G-Assiston assistant of Nvidia, Nvidia changes the AI model behind the scenes so that he uses 40% less memory. The smaller imprint will not affect performance either, because it is designed to respond even more quickly to requests.
These latest modifications of the NVIDIA application will arrive on August 19 for beta users at 9 a.m. PT / 12h he, followed by a general version next week.
