OpenAI Wants ChatGPT to Be Your Future Operating System
Openai did not share details on income sharing agreements with Canva, Zillow, Spotify and the other applications he has highlighted today.
The new SDK announcement indicates a deeper commitment to work with established companies and manufacturers – and the emphasis on maintaining users in the chatpt itself. If the web and mobile eras of the last 30 years have been defined by users traveling the web or being locked in a mobile application experience, Openai now combines both in its own type of cat -oriented operating system.
Nick Turley, head of the product of Openai for Chatgpt, said in a briefing after the speech that the company “had never wanted to build a chatbot; we wanted to build a super assistant, and we were a little diverted”. He indicated that Optai is the most enthusiastic about what he has done in natural language treatment, but that the $ 500 billion startup will continue to experiment with different user interfaces around this.
“Will people spend their time in Chatgpt? I don’t think so,” said Turley. “I can imagine that you are starting your day with Chatgpt”, then be guided to other applications and websites.
Beyond the reinvention of existing applications, Openai hopes to put themselves at the center of efforts to build agents who use AI to perform tasks in the name of a user. The company has unveiled several tools for the construction of agents, including Agentkit, a drag and drop interface for the construction of advanced AI tools.
The capture on the part of the developer’s mind is also, of course, on coding tools. During the event on Monday, Openai announced that Codex, an optimized model for writing code, would come out of the search overview and generally become available. The company has also announced new Codex tools, including a way to ask questions about the code and modify them via Slack messages, an SDK for the Codex model and new analysis tools to allow companies to monitor the use of their employees’ codex.
