Osgood Perkins’ ‘Keeper’ trailer offers a mystery for you to solve

Osgood Perkins plays with us with us Guardian.
The horror filmmaker behind Long And The monkey knows how to tease your audience, drop little advice on what your next frightening and cryptic film will be rather than waking up with a splashing massacre or a star power.
For the first teaser for Guardian, Neon has published a video entitled “You are not right for this place”. His images focus on several women over time, apparently attracting the attention of an admirer. Smiling on it, looking or shouting as romance was bad. Then an assembly of cries, with an unattained voice declaring slowly: “This place does not suit me.” To this, the title of the video seemed an answer. But what did it mean?
Neon’s new trailer will not answer this. However, this gives time to the screen to the film’s tracks: Tatiana Maslany and Rossif Sutherland.
This trailer is entitled “Why should it always end.” – Without a question mark. In the trailer, we have an idea of the plot. A couple spends in a weekend in a distant cabin. But during their stay, their minds do not float with romantic thoughts, but frightening curiosities. Think Gone Girl With a feeling of terror of Perkins.
In the press release sent to Mashable, Neon also proposed:
You cannot shout in our barrel of rain,
You cannot climb our apple tree,
I don’t want to play in your courtyard
If you can’t be good with me.
These are words of “I don’t want to play in your court” by Peggy Lee. Could it be the song Fredue in the trailer? And what could that mean?
We will discover when Goalkeeper: a dark trip by Osgood Perkins Open November 14.
