Our Favorite Prime Day Deals on Cold-Weather Home Essentials (2025)

Unfortunately, most the United States is currently in the throes of a false fall. Let me say it: 75 degree temperatures are not the mood at the pumpkin patch, and the first PSL of the season shouldn’t need to be icy! However, real winter will arrive sooner than you think, with a massive drop in temperatures, less sunshine and a risk of severe weather. Amazon’s Prime Day this October is your last chance to go ahead and score all the cold weather gear you’ll need to stay warm on the cheap, from slippers and blankets to thermostats and fireplaces.
Want to check out all the deals before they disappear? Don’t miss our guide to the absolute best Prime Day deals for October 2025 and check out our Prime Day live blog, where we track deals and trends throughout the event.
Our favorite radiator
Don’t be fooled by the size of this Dreo: it’s tempting to think that a tower-style radiator produces more heat, but remember that heat rises, so underfloor heating will be just as effective. In fact, this little guy outperformed every other model we tested when it came to heating a room quickly and quietly, and all came with necessary safety features like tip-over protection and auto shut-off.
An electric blanket we love
Electric blankets have come a long way from the fire hazards of old. We love just about everything about Bedsure (especially its sheets), and this soft, minky electric blanket is no exception. A favorite in our guide to the best electric blankets, this one is reversible and has a convenient preheat mode for warming up quickly.
A Great Deal on Luxury Flannel Sheets
Although they received an honorable mention in our guide to the best flannel sheets, these organic sheets from high-end California brand Coyuchi (covered by Naomi Watts—you may have seen the ads showing her sleeping in a field) won praise from critic Nena Farrell.
A cozy candle at a lower cost
Yankee Candle is not included in our guide to the best scented candles. In fact, some of my colleagues may have even gone so far as to call this brand cheugy. But last month, I was in a mall, and I happened to pass by a Yankee Candle store, and I’m here to defend the dignity of Yankee Candle. I bought not one but three candles that day, and I’ll tell you the ’90s favorite still has it. However, I also paid way more than that Prime Day sale price for my candles, so don’t make the same mistake.
A foot warmer for your office
This unassuming little Lasko was the only radiator reviewer that Matthew Korfhage continued to use long after he finished testing radiators for his guide. It’s like living in a hair dryer, he says, and I quote, it makes you feel warm and lovely “from the cockles of your heart to your ankles.”
Slippers to offer
Our favorite slippers for bedtime, the TSA line, or anytime, these Cozy Earth slippers look like cotton balls but have a sturdy rubber sole so they can be worn to collect the mail or take to the trash. They’re made from natural sheepskin, so they won’t sweat or smell bad if you or your giftee ends up wearing them for days (no judgment).
If you have to be outside
Maybe your family really enjoys s’mores, drinking beers with the neighbors, or just enjoying the night sky. You might not want to be outside, but if you have to, you might as well stay warm. If your only experience with fire pits is smoking while camping or strategically moving your chair around a beach bonfire, it’s time to try a smoke-free fire pit. They’re not truly smokeless, but they significantly reduce smoke via what Solo Stove calls “secondary combustion.” This not only makes the experience more pleasant for you, but it also means fewer angry neighbors.
A smart thermostat for $44 off
Instead of your household arguing over who raised or lowered the thermostat and when, you can place this smart thermostat and its built-in temperature gauge in any room, preferably that of the biggest complainer. The thermostat will then help your HVAC system get just this room at the ideal temperature. The Nest is not only simple to set up and use, its app will make suggestions as it learns schedules over time. Also note that you don’t need a Nest ecosystem to use it: it will work independently and is compatible with most HVAC systems.
