Physicists figure out how to reduce formation of 'viscous fingers'

When reaching the bottom of a soap dispenser, thrifty hand washers may try adding water to the bottle to squeeze out the last bit of soap. But usually the water passes through the soap and throws up a slightly soapy splash.
