Powerful storm rips North Texas city of Mineral Wells, causing significant damage, injuries

A powerful storm ravaged the northern Texas town of Mineral Wells on Tuesday, causing severe damage to the area, authorities said. City officials said people were injured, but none were critical. No deaths were immediately reported.

The storm appears to have blown through an industrial park, destroying buildings, ripping off roofs and scattering debris across the area. Metal was wrapped around poles and an HVAC plant was badly damaged, but employees were sent home before the storm.
