South Africa are on course to qualify for the knockout stages of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations – and they could punch their ticket as early as this Friday.

South Africa will face Egypt this Friday at 3:00 p.m. GMT in their second Group B match. Bafana Bafana approach this meeting with full confidence after their first victory against Angola (2-1).

Group B ranking:

1- Egypt 3 pts (+1)

2- South Africa 3 pts (+1)

3- Angola 0 pt (-1)

4- Zimbabwe 0 pts (-1)

Hugo Broos’ team will guarantee their place in the round of 16 if they win against Egypt. Better still, they will be assured of topping the group if Zimbabwe fail to beat Angola in the other match.

If the match ends in a draw, South Africa will be guaranteed to finish at least third if Angola are victorious against Zimbabwe.
