Putin Official Calls Russia ‘A Real Bear’ After Trump Mocked Country’s Power

A Russian official retaliated on President Donald Trump with a bizarre comparison after Trump made fun of the country’s soldiers in a social media position on Tuesday.
Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov challenged Trump’s characterization that Russia is a “paper tiger” during an interview with the Russian state media, insisting that the country should be called a “real bear”. The Russian government’s challenge comes when Trump expressed growing frustration with Russian President Vladimir Putin for refusing to end the war and suggested that an incessant conflict exposed Russia Military weakness and economic problems. “Russia is in no way a tiger. Russia is traditionally considered a bear. There is nothing like paper bears. Russia is a real bear,” Peskov told RBC Radio. “There is nothing paper on this.”
Trump strongly criticized Russia for continuing his war with Ukraine after three and a half years of fighting following a meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the United Nations on Tuesday.
The war has reached a high price for Moscow with a recent study saying that nearly a million Russian soldiers were killed or injured during the war.
“Russia has been fighting for three and a half years a war that should have taken real military power less than a week to win. This does not distinguish Russia. In fact, it makes them look like a paper tiger ” wrote Trump in an article on the social media platform Truth Social Tuesday.
The president also referred to his increasingly cool relationship with Putin during his UN speech.
“I also tirelessly worked murder in Ukraine,” said Trump. “I thought it would be, from the seven wars that I arrested, I thought it would be the easiest because of my relationship with President Putin, who had always been a good one.”
“But during the war, you never know what’s going to happen,” added Trump. “It was supposed to be just a quick quick skirmish. It didn’t look good Russia, it hurts them.”
Putin joined Chinese President Xi Jinping and the North Korean leader Kim Jong one for a trilateral military parade in Beijing on September 2. Trump later exploded the trio for “conspired against” the United States.

Trump also expressed optimism on Tuesday that Ukraine could finally resume land held by Russia with the financial support of the European Union and the Organization of the North Atlantic Treaty (NATO). Russia currently controls a fifth of the Ukrainian territory.
“After having learned to know and fully understand the military and economic situation of Ukraine / Russia and, after having seen economic problems, this causes Russia, I think that Ukraine, with the support of the European Union, is able to fight and reconquer all of Ukraine in its original form,” wrote Trump on social social. “Over time, the patience and financial support of Europe and, in particular, NATO, the original borders of the place where this war started, is an option. Why not?”
Zelenskyy praised the president’s comments while also conceding his relationship with Trump since their public sputum in February.
“President Trump was more positive, and he showed that he wanted to support Ukraine until the end,” Zelenskyy told Bret Bret Bret from Fox News. “I was very positive about the signals on the side that Trump and America will be with us until the end of the war.”
“I think he understands today that we cannot just exchange territories. It’s not fair,” said Zelenskyy.
