Raleigh hits MLB-leading 43rd homer in 8th to rally Mariners to a 3-2 win over Rays

SEATTLE (AP)-Cal Raleigh struck its 43rd MLB-LEA SEADER MLB circuit, a shot in three rounds in eighth round, giving the Seattle Mariners a 3-2 victory against the Rays of Tampa Bay on Friday evening.

The navies won their fifth consecutive match and remained 1 1/2 games behind the Houston Astros at the head of Al West.

Raleigh has erased the deficit with two Seattle rounds with a 417 feet shot on the right-wing center off Griffin Jax (1-6) after simple JP Crawford and Cole Young.

Raleigh has dominated for the first time since July 31 against Texas. He directs Kyle Schwarber of Philadelphia by two circuits. Schwarber hit his 41st circuit on Friday.

Carlos Vargas (4-5) worked an eighth aimless and Matt Brash obtained his second stop from the season, withdrawing the three thickness from the ninth.

Rasmussen granted four strokes in six laundry rounds, withdrawing four and not walking. Placing in his country of origin, Rasmussen gave a deserved race in 20 1/3 rounds of his career against Seattle.

Brandon Lowe struck a solo circuit in the first and Junior Caminero hit his 31st season in the fifth season to give Tampa Bay a 2-0 lead.

Luis Castillo gave two points out of five strokes in seven rounds. He removed five and did not work.

The navies finally obtained their first runner in a score position in the eighth after the single of Young which passed Crawford in the second row.

Key statistics

Rasmussen only granted two additional strokes during his last five departures. Seattle had no runner in a score position against the left -hander.
