Rams blow a 19-point lead, losing to Eagles in stunning heartbreaker

Philadelphia – It was starting to look a lot like 2021.
This is the year when the Rams went to all, started quickly, endured a sequence of defeats in mid-season, then won the Super Bowl.
There is still a long way to go before the Super Bowl LX is played at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.
But the collapse of the Rams on Sunday against the Eagles in defense of the Super Bowl-Champion Philadelphia was not a trusted manufacturer.
The RAMs showed an advance of 19 points in the third quarter, were set up to win with a last second basket, then this kick was blocked and returned for a touchdown during a defeat of 33-26 in Lincoln Financial Field.
The superb defeat ended the chances of the Rams (2-1) to improve at 3-0 for the first time since their championship season.
The Rams had beaten the Texans of Houston and the Titans of Tennessee in their first two games, but the match against the Eagles and Saquon Barkley represented the first real test for a Sean Mcvay team coach described as the deepest of his eight seasons and more.
The Rams returned to the site of last season’s defeat against the Eagles during the NFC divisional round.
The conditions were clearly different on Sunday. Instead of freezing and snow on the ground, it was sunny and warm.
Perhaps more importantly, Barkley did not run on and through the defense of Rams for long affected.
