Readers sound off on abolishing ICE, defending wind farms and blood in photos

It is time to abolish the ice and investigate his agents
Granby, Conn. I say “suspected” because frequently, these men do not identify themselves by pushing people into unmarked cars. Despite all their victims, these kidnappers are white supremacist vigilantes.
It would be unfortunate, but quite understandable, if such masked men were slaughtered in self -defense by those they terrorize. Contrary to what the officials of the fascist administration of President Trump could say, it is absolutely legitimate for the agents of Dox Ice, by which I mean revealing the identity of these thugs hiding behind masks. They are nominally officials, after all.
So many things do not go with our country now, but something that should be very clear for everyone, especially Democratic legislators, is that ice is a rogue and uncontrollable agency. It is not a question of some bad apples. The agency itself frees up sadistic propaganda videos joyfully documenting the work of its agents to send people to national and foreign concentration camps without regular procedure.
The public could assume that the ice is an integral and long -standing part of the police, but this is not true. The agency has been created in the past 25 years. We do not need it, especially after the ice has been revealed as the tip of the lance of American fascism. When Democrats regain power at the national level, they must abolish the agency and investigate all its agents for reprehensible acts. Jon Hochschartner

BALLSTON SPA, NY: Now that King Trump has the world in troubles, I hope all the losers Maga are happy! Just think, God wanted this and maybe he punishes us for our transgressions, so we will just have to wait and see what the result will be. In the meantime, if Trump was declared king, why don’t we just throw him in prison? But all these spin -free congresses kiss her buttocks for a photo session or a handshake! Have a happy life. Daniel Simard
Kill clean energy
Brooklyn: It is good to see that Trump is faced with his resistance to his anti-energy program of Energy of Govs. Daniel McKee and Ned Lamont from other managers from Rhode Island and Connecticut (“Pols ask Préz to save the wind farm”, August 26). Such is the cost of taxpayers for the energy of this wind farm, which would be locked up for the next 20 years: 9.8 cents! This month, he charged 12.8 cents per kilowatt hour, and this price has increased each month. No wonder Trump and his supporters of fossil fuels want to close the wind farms – they can produce electricity at a lower cost than gas power plants. Hopefully, Governor Hochul notes the affordability of renewable energies and feels inspired to resist Trump and defend an aggressive clean energy program for New Yorkers. Wind and solar energy mean lower electricity bills and cleaner air so that we can all breathe. Susan Velez
Come on, governors!
Brooklyn: Bravo to Govs. Hochul, Ned Lamont and Daniel McKee for having resisted the insane efforts of the Trump administration to kill a wind farm in our region. Our heads of state understand that clean and renewable energies are a boon for consumers and local workers, and vital for the health of our planet and its inhabitants. Continue your good fight. Let’s stop the Trump’s erroneous pro-fossil fuel agenda! Linda Nagel
Antipathetic shift
Brooklyn: The country is crying yet another massacre of its children – in a church, of all places (“2 children killed, a lot injured in Minnesota”, August 28). What happened to us? For those of us who still have faith: “The Lord has a controversy with the inhabitants of the earth. Because there is no truth, neither mercy or knowledge of God in earth. ” In addition: “by swearing, by mensing, killing, stealing and committing adultery, they burst and blood touches blood” (daring, 4: 1-2). Don’t we do all these things? America has become rich over the years while showing a kindness towards the unfortunate, oppressed, poor and hungry worldwide. Respect accumulated during this period has disappeared. Instead, we seem to build hatred in all corners – and at home, even our very young children are in danger. Should someone hear our prayers given our headlong dive at the bottom of the abyss? Shirley Forde
Numbers are numbers
Chester, NJ: Thank you to the voice Phil Antico for his lucid description of denials of the crime of the voice Tom Archer and Dave Kalin. Thus, these voices (an old sergeant of prior crime analysis) suggest that prosecutors allow defendants to plead crimes, which contributes to reducing crime statistics. However, Phil compares my conviction that crime is due to Santa Claus. How does he explain that the murders in New York are the lowest of all time (such as reported by the NYPD Commissioner, Jessica Tisch, June 3)? Do they also negotiate in the morgue? This NYPD-this week’s compress report also indicates that the shots are declining (or do they negotiate knives now?). No, Phil, no Santa Claus, and no conspiracy theories either. David J. Melvin
Sticky story
Newark: I’m a little surprised to see Taylor Swift and anyone who gets married on the first page of the newspaper (“Baby, she said yes!” August 27). Isn’t there something more important in the world? David Figueroa
Not news
Flushing: I was shocked to see what your newspaper chose to put on his first page on Wednesday. I was even more shocked to see that you have printed four full pages devoted to a commitment from a superrich pop star to a football player! Really, was there nothing more important in all the disorders and chaos that were happening at home and abroad? Think of the message you send to our young people and the rest of the world on the values that this country deems important. You have transformed your newspaper into a tabloid. Be honest with your readers and call your newspaper what it is. Martin Goldman
Too graphic
Brooklyn: Several days, I remember the old adage “if he bleeds, he leads” by covering daily events, but I am dismayed that the Daily News feels necessary to publish photos of real blood in the street. Two of the images accompanying the article “Grandmother killed by a random shot” (August 28) showed Walker by Robin Wright with a horribly bloody sidewalk. There were two angles of this terrible scene. This is not the first time that I have seen this type of imaging in the online version of the news. Why is it necessary to show an image of real blood? It should be easy for any journalist to describe with precision this without the image. It is repugnant, disgusting and disrespectful towards the victims. Do better, daily news. There are already more than enough bloody death reports and murder without having the real photos of the bloody consequences. Wanda Peaks
Punch
Brooklyn: in Voice Leslie Langer: Regarding the ban on people who arrive at pantry in cars, many of these people live in their cars. MM-HMM, in particular with arrow rents, unaffordable dwellings disguising themselves as “affordable” and an greed and a war against the poor while the rich obtain serious tax alternatives. Oh, but we should put on a beneficiary of the social assistance who has his nails made, or tell a person whose house is seized for the purchase of a pint of Häagen -Dazs soothes his anxiety is “too expensive – not surprising that you lose your house”. Or prohibit each hungry person who presents himself in a pantry in a car. Jesus warned against “collapsing the Moucheron and swallowing the camel”. Cuting your poor neighbor when he is in the name of moral indignation while being silent that the poor are oppressed and sacrificed for ultra-rich adjustments. Joy E. Goldberg
Ringworm
Bronx: Mayor Adams, who was a republican, until he decided to stand in the elections, says Zohran Mamdani is not a democrat (“Eric: Zoh is a commander”, August 28). Richie Nagan
