Reporter Asks Trump If God Is On America’s Side In Iran

A reporter asked President Donald Trump if God was on the United States’ side in the war against Iran during a contentious news conference Monday.
Trump shared a series of messages on Truth Social Sunday, including several about rescuing a U.S. service member trapped behind enemy lines. He also issued warnings to Iran regarding the Strait of Hormuz, writing, among other things, “Glory to GOD! and in another: “Praise be to Allah”. During his White House news conference on Monday, a reporter asked the president if he believed God supported the United States in Iran. “You said: Glory to God in this conflict,” the Washington Post reporter began. “Do you believe that God supports the actions of the United States in this war? And…”
“Yes, because God is good,” Trump said. “Because God is good and God wants to see people taken care of. God doesn’t like what’s happening. I don’t like what’s happening. Everybody says, I like it, I don’t like it. I don’t like it.”
Trump went on to cite his actions in conflicts around the world as proof of his intent. “I don’t like seeing people killed. I’ve ended eight wars. No one has ever done that. The person who won the Nobel Prize came to me and said, you deserve the Nobel Prize. She announced it when they announced it.”
“She’s a great person, a really good person,” he continued. “She said, ‘No, no, no. This is ridiculous. They gave me the Nobel Prize, President Trump ended eight wars.’
Trump reached numerous world peace deals during his second term, including defusing a conflict between India and Pakistan, two nuclear-armed states. He told the reporter that Pakistan’s prime minister said he had saved “30 to 50 million lives”, adding that these achievements made him “much happier than what we are doing now” in Iran. “It makes me a lot happier.”
“We still have one more to finish, by the way,” Trump concluded, apparently referring to the war between Russia and Ukraine, which, despite multiple efforts by the administration over the past year, has yet to be resolved.
