The US State Department announced Tuesday that it is revoking the visas of people who celebrated the murder of Turning Point USA (TPUSA) founder Charlie Kirk or mocked other Americans.

After Kirk’s assassination on September 10, some Democrats took to social media to celebrate, posting videos on TikTok and other platforms. In an article on X, the State Department said the United States has “no obligation to harbor foreigners who wish Americans dead.” RELATED: ‘Happy Birthday, Dad’: Watch Charlie Kirk’s Widow Read the Birthday Message Her Daughter Had for Her Late Father

“The Department of State continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous murder of Charlie Kirk. Here are some examples of foreigners who are no longer welcome in the United States,” the post said. “[President Trump] And [Secretary Rubio] Defend our borders, our culture and our citizens by enforcing our immigration laws.

“Aliens who take advantage of American hospitality while celebrating the murder of our citizens will be deported,” the message added.

In the thread posted on X, the State Department shared examples of comments made by some foreigners whose visas have been revoked.

“An Argentine national said Kirk ‘dedicated his entire life to spreading racist, xenophobic and misogynistic rhetoric’ and deserves to burn in hell. Visa revoked,” the State Department wrote with a photo of the message attached.

In a message from an Argentinian national, the stranger wrote: “Charlie Kirk can rest in a fucking piss and again, if you have any empathy for people like this, you can.” [go] move on and unfriend me.

The State Department also shared a message from a South African national, who said, “Neanderthals can’t have the cake and eat it.”

“This weekend they openly opposed anti-black racism and now they are hurt that the racist rally ended in an attempted martyrdom? Charlie Kirk will not be remembered as a hero. He was used to astroturf a white nationalist caravan movement!” the message continued.

The State Department also wrote that a Mexican national’s visa was revoked after he said Kirk “died being a racist, he died being a misogynist” and saying that “there are people who deserve to die. There are people who died who would make the world a better place.”

The department also said it revoked the visas of a Brazilian national, a German national and a Paraguayan national for similar reasons, including the text of each individual’s messages.

While many people around the world held vigils in memory of the TPUSA founder, some Democrats objected to the support Kirk and the TPUSA were receiving. However, backlash quickly followed from those who publicly posted videos celebrating his death, with some being fired from their jobs.

The State Department’s announcement comes after President Donald Trump posthumously awarded Kirk the Presidential Medal of Freedom on Tuesday. The ceremony, held in the White House Rose Garden on Kirk’s 32nd birthday, was attended by members of the TPUSA as well as friends and Kirk’s widow, Erika Kirk.

Erika Kirk received the award on behalf of her late husband, giving a moving speech reflecting on his legacy and thanking Trump for the medal.
