A Rhode Island prosecutor is being examined after images of the police of the police body recorded his warning agents “You will regret it” while she was arrested.

Devon Flanagan, a special assistant prosecutor, was arrested outside a restaurant by Newport police on August 14 for intrusion, according to the police.

Images of bodily cameras provided by the police service show that Flanagan has asked an officer on several occasions to extinguish his body camera, then to say on several occasions “I am an GA”.

The images show that the police approach someone from the restaurant and asked them “they want them to be intrusive”. The person squeezes his hands and answers saying “intrusion, yeah. Cuff ’em, please.”

When the officer says that Flanagan and the individuals with her are also intrusive, the lawyer says: “We did not intrude you, you did not inform ourselves that we intrude.”

“What did I just tell you? You intrude,” explains the officer, who is not identified in the video.

“I am an AG. I am an AG, ”said Flanagan later.

“So much the better for you,” said the officer, then an explanive.

Finally, Flanagan is put in a patrol vehicle and says: “My friend, you will regret. You will regret it.”

According to the Office of the Attorney General, Flanagan worked for the best legal office in the state for almost seven years and is currently assigned to the unit of appeal of the criminal division.

A prosecutor general spokesman said the office examined the incident and refused to comment more, citing personnel reasons.

During an interview with WPRO on Tuesday, the prosecutor general of Rhode Island, Peter Neronha, said that Flanagan “was going to take a few measures” to face the arrest, which included excuses for the Newport police, but that no decision had been taken regarding discipline.

“Listen, she put me in a bad position. She embarrassed, she humiliated herself, horribly treated the Newport police department,” said Neronha.

“I have 110 lawyers. She embarrassed them all, in one way,” he added.
