‘E! News’ to end this year after 3 decades

The broadcasting program “E! News ”will end this year, concluding a race that started in 1991 but was interrupted during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to a source close to the situation.
The person confirmed the plans to cancel the broadcast program at NBC News, after the news was reported earlier Thursday by Variety and other publications. His final band date will be September 25. The employees were informed Thursday morning.
The entertainment network will remain online. “Access Hollywood” and “Access Daily” will continue their programs.
The broadcasting program was launched in 1991, but it was canceled in 2020 during the pandemic, which caused serious disruption not only to the economy but also to studio emissions. The broadcast program was reduced in 2022.
E! Belongs to Nbcuniversal, the parent company of NBC News, but it will evolve with other brands, including MSNBC and CNBC, at the Spinoff Comcast side, said Comcast.
Comcast announced on Thursday its first board of directors of the planned spin-off.
The spin-off will include USA Network, CNBC, MSNBC, Oxygen, E!, Syfy, Golf Channel and others, said Comcast.
Nbcuniversal did not immediately respond to a comment request Thursday.
Thursday evening, the host of “E! News” Keltie Knight published a video on Instagram of her labial synchronization of the lyrics “What do you kill you makes you strong and hot plus”, of the song of Megan Moroney “6 months later”.
Former host Jason Kennedy said the new “bites”.
“Very talented humans have lost their jobs in this frustrating and constantly evolving company that we call television,” he wrote in an article on Instagram, calling it “end of an era”.
Giuliana Rancic, a former host “E! News”, said that the anchoring of the show for 20 years was his “dream work and the professional honor of a life”.
“I feel so lucky to have been part of this pop culture phenomenon that has been broadcast in more than 100 countries and allowed me to travel around the world by meeting the most amazing and loyal viewers,” she wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to each of you for letting us enter your homes every night.”
