Saints v Falcons, Colts v Texans and Titans v Jaguars: NFL gameweek 18 updates – live | NFL

Key events
As we near the start of the playoffs, it seems good to look back at the highlights and some lowlights across this wild season. The key moments that led us to what appears to be one of the most wide-open playoffs perhaps…ever? You could make the case for almost any team in the Super Bowl.
But before we crown the Jacksonville Jaguars the SB60 winners (what?!), let’s enjoy this crazy, game-changing play from Tampa Bay linebacker Lavonte David, whose interception helped set up a last-gasp 38-35 victory for the Bucs over the mighty Seahawks in a Week 5 shootout for the ages.
Send me your favorite moments, I’ll share them so everyone can enjoy them!
Preamble
Hello everyone, that bittersweet time of the season has finally arrived where we say goodbye to the regular season. Why does it seem like just yesterday the Bills were coming back from a 40-25 deficit (they’ve been pretty good at coming back this year) to beat the Ravens by a single point in September. Time certainly flies. Hopefully we’ll have an equally exciting bookend to pair with today’s first six games starting at 12 p.m. CST/1 p.m. EST/6 p.m. GMT:
-
(6-10) New Orleans Saints vs. Atlanta Falcons (7-9)
-
(4-12) Cleveland Browns vs. Cincinnati Bengals (6-10)
-
(8-8) Indianapolis Colts vs. Houston Texans (11-5)
-
(3-13) Tennessee Titans vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (12-4)
-
(9-6-1) Green Bay Packers vs. Minnesota Vikings (8-8)
-
(7-8-1) Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants (3-13)
What is still left to fight for? There is a hugely impactful game in Atlanta that will finally decide the outcome of the NFC South. It certainly seems very fitting that the winner would be decided by the outcome of a game featuring neither the Panthers (8-9) nor the Buccaneers (8-9) after both missed opportunities to claim it outright. If the Falcons beat the Saints, the Panthers advance to the playoffs and if the Saints win or there is a tie, the Bucs advance.
Elsewhere, the Jaguars must win to clinch the AFC South and stay in the race for the No. 1 seed. The Texans will pray they do the opposite so they can steal the division crown with a win against the Colts if the Jags lose.
Later, we have seven more matches that will definitively decide the destination of this #1 seed. Here we go!
