Can Ghislaine Maxwell be trusted to tell the truth about Jeffrey Epstein?

Prosecutors said Maxwell also lied when she had the opportunity to recognize her actions in a 2016 civil prosecution. “When the accused had the opportunity to address her conduct with minors in the context of civil prosecution, she lied several times,” they wrote.
Maxwell lawyers said at the time that “the questions asked were confusing, ambiguous and poorly trained”. They added: “There was no” crimes “hidden by Ms. Maxwell’s answers.”
After Maxwell was found guilty of recruitment, grooming and trafficking of several teenage girls for Epstein, judge Alison Nathan said that Maxwell had not accepted his crimes.

Maxwell listed the accounts in an English bank with “maximum values totaling much more than $ 2 million”. But it did not disclose a Swiss bank account with an approximate balance of $ 4 million.
Prosecutors wrote that “insofar as the defendant now refuses to report on his property or access to a vast wealth, it is not because it does not exist, it is because it tries to hide it.”
Civil case deposit
After her arrest, Maxwell was also accused of two chiefs of perjury alleging that she had made false statements in an oath in the 2016 civil affair. The prosecutors alleged that Maxwell had lied when she said that she was not aware of Epstein’s efforts to recruit minor girls for sex.
Maxwell also lied when she said that she did not know anyone 18 or less in Epstein properties, they said, and when she denied having sex with other women with Epstein, and that Epstein had sex toys.
After the prosecutors obtained a conviction against Maxwell, they refused to move forward with a trial ordered by the court for the perjury charges.
Legal experts claim that cooperative witnesses who have previously lied can always have effective witnesses in the event of evidence which corroborates their complaints. Their credibility can also be stimulated if they explain why they lied.
