The first events in 2026 Winter Olympics are already underway, and with a busy competition schedule ahead, American viewers will need to take note of the time difference between the United States and Italy, where the Milan Cortina Games take place.
Following the opening ceremony On Friday, February 6, events are expected to continue until the closing ceremony on February 22. The Paralympic Games will take place the following month, from March 6 to 15.
Locations in Italy are six hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and nine hours ahead of Pacific Standard Time.

What is tomorrow’s schedule for the 2026 Winter Olympics?
On Sunday, February 8, there’s even more action on the slopes, with competitions in alpine skiing, biathlon and ski jumping as well as snowboarding and cross-country skiing.

When are the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2026 Olympic Games?
The opening ceremony of the Milan Cortina 2026 Winter Games on Friday February 6 saw performances from Mariah Carey, Laura Pausini and Andrea Bocelli, as well as the traditional Parade of Nations and the lighting of the Olympic cauldron.

What is the figure skating program for the 2026 Winter Olympics?
Figure skating events begin on February 6. Competitions will continue daily until February 11. There will be a break on February 12, but there will be additional figure skating events on February 13, 15, 16, 17 and 19.

What is the snowboard program for the 2026 Winter Olympics?
Snowboarding events at the Winter Olympics begin February 5, then continue February 7-9, 11-13 and 15-18.

While the Olympics’ opening ceremony took place on Friday, February 6, the Winter Games events actually began two days earlier, on February 4. The closing ceremony, as well as several medal events, will take place on February 22.
