Senate Dems Threaten to Block DHS Funding After Border Patrol Shooting

Senate Democrats have threatened to defund the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) after a recent shooting involving a Border Patrol agent on Saturday.
Democrats such as Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), Sen. Mark Warner (D-VA), Sen. Martin Heinrich (D-NM), and Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), among others, have spoken out against voting for a bill that would fund DHS. Democrats have called for “MAJOR reforms” to DHS.
The opposition from Democrats came after a recent shooting, which claimed the life of a 37-year-old man.
