Shatterverse will hit Xbox platforms this year
The Serious Sam gaming franchise is back with a new entry, giving the FPS series a cooperative roguelite twist. Basically it’s about getting the Reign of the night treatment in the same way Ancient Ring did.
The last title is Serious Sam: Shatterversewhere teams of up to five players will face waves of monsters from the eternal enemy Mental. Each run will offer the usual roguelite approach to upgrade options to make your team more powerful. And if you’re a long-time fan of the series, the trailer contains the same broad, boisterous humor; for example, the three upgrade cards shown are all jokes. Behavior Interactive, the studio behind Dead by daylightpilots the project.
Serious Sam: Shatterverse will come to Xbox Series X/S, Xbox on PC, and Xbox Cloud this year. Given that the first quarter is almost over, the team is likely targeting the second half of 2026, but that’s just a guess.
