‘SNL’ Cold Open features Pete Davidson as Tom Homan

Ancient SNL Actor Pete Davidson returned to 30 Rock last night as White House border czar Tom Homan, whose name has been in the headlines a lot in recent weeks given the rise of ICE in Minnesota.

In the usual way, SNL attempted to shine a light on the horrors we see on our screens every day, this time referencing the shootings of American citizens, the arrest of journalist Don Lemon and the use of force by ICE.
“My name is Tom Homan, okay?” Homan said of Davidson, trying not to break character. “I’m the guy who separates families at the border. I’m the guy who takes a $50,000 bribe in a movie, and you all make me out to be the decent, reasonable adult in the room. It’s crazy!”
SNL also took the opportunity to take another swipe at the Epstein files, saying the White House operation in Minneapolis was meant to distract from that initial drop, while the latest Epstein files released Friday ironically draw attention away from Minneapolis.
