Society of Photographers announces Photographer of the Year

The Society of Photographers has announced the winners of its prestigious 2025 Photographer of the Year awards. Photographer Therese Asplund won Photographer of the Year honors for an image (see below) of young birds on a branch.

“Demonstrating exceptional skill, narrative depth and execution, this bold and distinctive image clearly stood out and generated lively discussion among the judges,” a press release states. More than 5,000 images were submitted in 28 categories. The full list of winners can be viewed at The Society of Photographers.
