Bondi Reacts as Trump Throws Her Under the Bus Over FBI Georgia Raid

Tulsi Gabbard’s presence during an FBI raid in Fulton County, Georgia, last week led to criticism within the Trump administration.
On Thursday, President Trump was request why Gabbard, the director of national intelligence, was present at the raid in which 2020 election ballots were seized. He responded by accusing Attorney General Pam Bondi, saying Gabbard “took a lot of pressure…because she went in at Pam’s insistence…and looked at the votes.”
“They say, ‘Why is she doing this?'” Trump said. “Because Pam wanted her to.”
At a press conference on Friday, Bondi failed to set the record straight when a reporter asked her about Trump’s claim.
“DNI Gabbard was in Atlanta last week for the Fulton County search. Initially, that office said she was not part of the investigation. She sent a letter to Congress in which President Trump asked her to do so, and President Trump said yesterday that it was at your insistence that she went there. So what’s the case here?'” the reporter asked.
Bondi responded that she and Gabbard were “inseparable,” as did others at the press conference Friday (including FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro).
“She was there with Assistant Director Andrew Bailey of the FBI,” Bondi saidreferring to Gabbard. “I’m not going to talk about any other details about it right now because Georgia is a very important topic for us. She was there, we’re inseparable, that’s all I’ll say.”

It seems Bondi is trying to protect himself, avoid contradicting Trump and cover for Gabbard at the same time. It is highly unusual for Gabbard, whose work is said to focus on foreign intelligence, to be involved in a investigation on the alleged 2020 election fraud in Georgia (which was disproven in court a long time ago). Trump himself is unusually close at the investigation, discussing the raid in Fulton County with Gabbard and the FBI officials present. What is actually happening and what is the end goal?
