Special Election Gives GOP Once in Generation Chance to Get VA-11
The republican candidate of the 11th district of the 11th district, Stewart Whitson, said Breitbart News on Saturday The special elections of this Tuesday gives the Republicans a chance “once in generation” to take control of the district, which the Republicans have not won since 2006.
Whitson spoke to Breitbart News on Saturday The host Matthew Boyle as Whitson falls into the 11th district of the Old Dominion Congress, which includes a large part of the county of Fairfax and the city of Fairfax in northern Virginia. After the death of the late representative Gerry Connolly (D-VA), the Virginians have the opportunity to potentially elect a republican.
“For 16 long years, Democrats have maintenance in this district,” said Whitson, adding that it was “Gerry Connolly or nothing”.
Whitson noted that the “dynamics” of the special elections “in fact a race that the Republicans can finally win”. Former representative Tom Davis (R-VA) was the last republican to win the district, which took place during the 2006 mid-term elections.
“This is an opportunity for a single generation to take over this seat,” he added, noting that this could serve as “Bellwether” elections before the mid-term elections in 2026.
Whitson said: “The Republicans had the thinnest majority we had during the last century and therefore resuming this seat does not only put a republican vote at the Congress; he takes a democratic vote in it.”
He pointed out: “I am a first shameless conservative in America, so I am a veteran of army combat, a proud 20 -year -old husband, I have children of school age, I am a former agent of the federal law on the police and I spent four and a half years working in a conservative reflection group advancing conservative policies on Capitol Hill, and therefore, I am.
Noting that the county of Fairfax was at the forefront of “unlocking” in schools, he said: “Authorizing parents and removing the madman from our schools is a huge problem.”
Whitson applauded President Donald Trump’s efforts to repress the crime in Washington, DC, saying that many voters go to DC to work.
He said: “It works. All President Trump does to restore the security of our communities.” Whitson added that Trump “also highlights the incapacity of Democrats to secure our cities”.
Whitson said his democratic opponent James Walkinshaw has promoted policies in the city of the sanctuary in the county of Fairfax.
Whitson concluded: “Not only do we want to win seats and return them to red, but we want to make sure that the Republicans we put are conservatives who believe in America in the first philosophy and that we want to support the president.”
