Spotify is down and the company has confirmed that it is working on the issue, although it hasn’t said much beyond that.
According to the Spotify Status account on Users who contact Spotify on X report connection issues, long loading times, and black screens.

According to DownDetector (which is owned by Mashable’s parent company Ziff Davis), Spotify’s outage reports began to spike around 12:00 p.m. CT before peaking about half an hour later at 12:35 p.m. CT.

The timing for Spotify isn’t ideal, as the company launched a new “Party of the Year(s)” feature on Tuesday morning. The roundup feature is part of Spotify’s 20th anniversary celebrations and introduces users to their first-ever Spotify listen and other nostalgic highlights from their listening history.
