While this style is usually best left to your manicurist, especially if you’re looking for clean, defined stripes, it’s also possible to achieve it at home. If you’re a beginner, try using vinyl tape first. After applying your base coat, use tweezers to place thin strips of tape symmetrically along the nail bed, then paint the alternate color on top. Remove the tape and use a small brush to touch up any overhang. For expert at-home manicures, you can more simply trace the stripes freehand, letting the length of the nail brush do all the work.
