At least 82 people died in center of Texas after a sudden flood last week. Researchers continue to seek victims. In Kerr county alone, 68 deaths were reported, including 28 children, according to the Sheriff of the county. Many deaths come from those who stay in youth camps on the banks of the Guadalupe river. Since the storm, local officials have been struck by difficult issues on the reasons why children in the camps and other people living along the river have not been warned to evacuate. Here is a chronology of catastrophic events.

President Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu should meet todayWhen they could discuss a ceasefire agreement in Gaza. It will be Netanyahu’s first visit to the White House since the two leaders have joined forces to attack the Iranian nuclear sites two weeks ago. Israel and Hamas began cease-fire talks in Qatar yesterday.
- 🎧 The region’s mediators informed Daniel Estrin of NPR that the Israeli delegations and Hamas are on different floors of the same hotel. The mediators commute between the floors. Estrin says he saw that a recent project agreement under negotiation begins with a 60-day ceasefire. Hamas would release 10 of the 20 living hostages it still has, and Israel would release Palestinian prisoners. The first day of the agreement, the conditions would be discussed for a final end of the war. Netanyahu’s last position is that Hamas will no longer exist in Gaza, and American-Israeli discussions this week will probably approach what it would imply.
The White House says that Trump’s pricing prices will be imposed on August 1. The rates were to come into force this week. In April, the president imposed a 10% rate on essentially all articles imported into the United States, the stock market plunged after the announcement. Trump then implemented a 90-day break, with the idea that the countries would conclude trade agreements with the United States
- 🎧 Trump says that countries will receive letters today describing their rate rateSaid Deepa Shivaram of NPR. The administration believes that this could trigger more transactions quickly, because only a few were made during the break. The break since April has ensured a certain stability in the financial markets. But recently, Trump said that new rate rates on countries that do not negotiate transactions could be even higher than those originally announced.

Living better is a special series On what it takes to stay healthy in America.
Continuous glucose monitors, who are inserted into the skin and consider your blood sugar every few minutes, can greatly help people with diabetes to manage the disease. In 2024, the FDA approved the first monitors of glucose continues for people without diabetes. Studies of thousands of people without diabetes carrying the monitors while they ate revealed that a large part of the people are divers. This means that their blood sugar increases quickly after eating and sometimes drops below their base a few hours later. These hollows can trigger overeating, make weight loss more difficult and make people more tired. If you are concerned about the fluctuations in your blood sugar and you want to stabilize it, here are some suggestions:
- 🩸 Do not eat meals and snacks that consist mainly of carbohydrates. Instead, add more fibers and protein to your diet, which can help you slow down your digestion, by preventing extreme points and cuts in blood sugar.
- 🩸 You want your intestine slowly to flow the carbohydrates into your blood. To do this, sprinkle your carbohydrates throughout the day instead of all in one meal.
- 🩸 The order in which you eat your food counts. First eat proteins, fibers and fats and carbohydrates last.
