The Always Aggrieved Crowd Now Freaking Out Over… a Paint Color – RedState
We’ve seen some truly idiotic displays from an ever-triggered class – often led by AWFLs – who are mentally injured by the perceived racism and aggression they find in almost everything. Recently, the left outraged that actress Sydney Sweeney looked good in jeans – and had the temerity to be white at the same time.
Plus, she has “genes”. Never mind the fact that everyone else does it too; in the minds of the left, this is clearly a racist ad campaign designed to minimize people of color.
The latter is even more stupid. Pantone, the paint company, recently announced its color of the year, and while it’s not exactly inspiring in my opinion, it’s not exactly insulting at first glance. It’s called Cloud Dancer, officially PANTONE 11-4201, and it’s basically… a shade of white.

And suddenly, the same people who told us that “representation doesn’t matter” are having a collective nervous breakdown over… a shade of white paint.
You can’t make this stuff up.

You wouldn’t expect the woke folks at the New York Times to let this huge controversy go unaddressed, and they didn’t disappoint. Members of their Style team were quick to express their faux outrage:
VANESSA FRIEDMAN The ad announcing Cloud Dancer as next year’s color features a woman, all in white, gazing dreamily into a cloud-filled sky. Serenity is clearly the mood. But given recent political discourse, when I hear “white,” less salubrious associations also come to mind—associations that I doubt Pantone has considered, but which could be twisted to some pretty uncomfortable ends.
CALLIE HOLTERMANN It’s certainly a striking choice after a year in which DEI programs were dismantled and the ruling party debated whether it could be friends with a white nationalist. This may not be what Pantone means by “peace, unity and cohesion”, but I have to imagine it will come to mind for some viewers….
VADUKUL White is a busy color. On several levels.
Oh please. Responsible for what? It’s just a damn color (or non-color, if you prefer). To be fair, not all of their comments were of the racist variety; some just said it was a boring choice.
However, we can’t help but wonder: why do people like these hate each other so much?

The left will continue to try to force racist conspiracies like this on us whenever possible. It might be fun to mock these low-IQ complainers, but the effect over time is more sinister; It’s exactly this kind of obsession with grievance that led us to DEI, critical race theory, and woke, all of which have been toxic to America. Laugh at them, because they don’t deserve anything more.
