The best USB flash drive deals for World Backup Day

World Backup Day is a great reminder that there are simple ways to protect your files, like using a USB drive, and I’ve spotted several deals on this on Amazon.
For fast everyday transfers, I like the Samsung Type-C USB Flash Drive now $31.99 (was $33.99). It delivers read speeds of up to 400MB/s and works seamlessly with modern USB-C laptops and phones. Those who prefer something more durable should look to the Samsung Bar Plus for $21.49 (was $39.99), which offers a sturdy metal body and reliable performance for everyday use.
Finally, for anyone looking to stock up on affordable storage, there’s the PNY Turbo Attaché 3 5-pack for $39.99 (was $47.99) – this deal includes five 64GB drives for under $40.

USB sticks are still useful
USB drives aren’t as popular as they once were, with cloud storage and portable SSDs taking over many everyday storage tasks, but they still have their place as part of a comprehensive plan for protecting important files.
Years ago, I lost a lot of data when my PC caught fire due to a hard drive failure, and since then I’ve become obsessed with backing up my files on different media to avoid losing anything important again.
My digital life is backed up in the cloud through multiple services, but this bad experience (and the time ransomware briefly locked me out of my computer) taught me not to rely on just one method.
Although I have backups of my files on portable SSDs, I also like to keep copies of important documents, photos, and similar files on password-protected flash drives. They’re small enough to slip into a pocket or bag and connect instantly without cables, making it easy to keep backup copies away from my main device.
