The family that grifts together stays together

During President Donald Trump’s first term, Don Jr. was arguably the most high-profile of his misbegotten offspring, with a beautiful big role in Russian interference in the 2016 elections. And who can forget Ivanka Trump, with her dad claims that it somehow created 14 million jobs?
Well, now it’s Eric’s turn to shine. And he’s going to shine by… asking his father to wrap up his deals.
At the recent Middle East “peace summit,” Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto caught on a hot mic asking Trump, “Can I meet Eric?”
This caused Trump to positively exclaim: “I’m going to have Eric call. Should I do that? He’s such a good boy. I’m going to have Eric call.”
The couple too speak looking for a “better place”.

Eric, of course, is in charge of the Trump Organization’s two major development projects in Indonesia. For some reason we are I always pretend that Trump is not involved in his family’s private affairs and keeps everything in trust.
But it is so obvious that Trump is open for business that Subianto, while attending a peace summit in his official capacity, did not even hesitate to approach Trump to ask for a personal business presentation to one of his adult sons.
The Trump Organization is also do a billion dollar development in Saudi Arabia, which “in a nod to the US president’s real estate background in New York, will be part of a larger project dubbed “Manhattan””.
And we can’t forget the infinite crypto scamcan we? Or Trump making sure he has the presidential seal in the photo supporting Eric’s book, which we all totally and completely believe, of course, that Eric wrote himself, right?
But Eric’s explanation of the hot mic moment, such as it is, is that it is actually a good boy.
So, a world leader asked your father, the President, at an official event to put him in contact with you, the President’s son, to make a deal with the President’s personal family business. This is far worse than all the frenzied accusations the right has thrown at Hunter Biden.
But according to Eric, this is completely okay and not at all unethical because “I have never met the Indonesian president.”
Eric also insists that the entire exchange between his father and Subianto actually shows that “there’s a huge wall” between Trump’s presidency and his businesses.
Eric. Do we have to tell you this again and again? The Indonesian President asked your father, the President, at an official “peace summit” to meet with you, the person who is leading the Trump Organization’s developments in Indonesia. And your father – again, the president – fell apart agreeing to set up a meeting.
It’s not a wall.
It’s no wonder, however, that the Trump family wants to vibe with Subianto, who has been credibly accused of war crimes, to the point that he was released of the army. He commanded the country’s special forces and ordered the kidnapping of student activists. He was even banned from coming to the United States for years due to his history of human rights violations.
Eh. Come to think of it, he would have a place in the Trump administration.
