It’s a 39-inch ultrawide panel that looks huge in person, especially with its 800R curve that pulls you into games in a way that smaller ultrawides typically don’t. Racing games, open-world titles, and anything cinematic look especially good here, as the OLED panel gives dark scenes real depth and color without the washed-out look that many LCD gaming monitors still struggle with. THE UltraGear 39GX90SA-W comes with LG’s full WebOS Smart TV software built right into the monitor, essentially turning it into a smart TV disguised as a gaming monitor. While this seems gimmicky at first, it actually makes a lot of sense for people who spend long hours at their desks and want a single screen for working, gaming, and streaming. What do you think of it so far?
There are plenty of ports, including HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort, Ethernet, USB-A, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi 6; you won’t run out of ways to connect devices to it. That said, its 3,440 x 1,440 resolution spread across 39 inches isn’t as sharp as a 4K panel, so text may look softer if you spend all day reading documents or editing spreadsheets. The built-in speakers also seem weak for a monitor this size. They work for casual YouTube videos or background streaming, but they lack volume and depth for gaming or movies. Still, if you want a giant OLED display that can handle gaming, movie, work, and streaming apps all in one place, this deal makes the 39GX90SA-W much more tempting than it was at launch.
