The Man in the Moon gets a new scar

I have to admit that although I have spent years observing the night sky, telescope at the ready, tracking planets and searching for deep sky objects, I didn’t actually see Man on the Moon until about five years ago. There I was, exploring the lunar seas and highland regions, and I had never noticed what humans had been seeing for millennia.
