The Talos Principle 3 Will Wrap Up The Series
Fans of philosophical puzzle games, rejoice: The Talos Principle is about to become a trilogy. Developer Croteam and publisher Devolver Digital promise that The Talos Principle 3 “will test your mind with all-new challenges.”
The Talos Principle 3 will conclude the story that began with the 2014 original and continued with the 2023 one. The Talos Principle 2. (Last year also saw a full remake of the first game, The Talos Principle: Awakened.)
Awakening in the Anomaly
The game’s creators aren’t revealing many more details yet, but they have set the stage for how the game begins. “As if waking from a troubled sleep, you find yourself in a strange and contradictory world of ruined temples and abandoned scientific outposts: the Anomaly, the only place in the universe where the laws of physics don’t work as they should. Your memories are fragmented, but you know you came here for a reason.”
This third entry will take place in over a dozen worlds with “increasingly complex puzzles”, which seems to be expected. The Steam listing adds some additional information, promising “mechanics both familiar and entirely new.” Environments range from a “terraforming desert planet to the magnificent Elysée Gardens.”
We don’t yet know when The Talos Principle 3 will arrive, but Devolver says it will have plenty more to share “soon.” In the meantime, you can check out the trailer below. When it launches, the series finale will be available on PC and PS5.
