The ‘Trans’ Movement Is Almost Over Now – RedState

It was always destined to end at some point.

The transgender movement is something that would always eventually die. It was far too unnatural and too dramatic for its own good. His insistence that we obey every whim and take every outburst seriously asked far too much of society.

And even more so, the open threat and declaration that they will come for our children, for one reason or another, will only result in society shrugging them off like a bad rodeo rider.

But it turns out that one of the main reasons transgender is dying is because transgender people themselves are simply giving up on being the opposite sex.

According to recent data from Germany, treatments for gender dysphoria are declining, especially among women.

Data shows that “persistence” rates – the ongoing diagnosis of individuals, including children who have been prescribed treatments for their transition – are falling and are now below 50%. Women, in particular, have the lowest persistence rates at 27.3 percent, with a dropout rate of 72.7 percent.

Men tend to remain transgender more, with the highest persistence rate at almost 50% between ages 20 and 24.

The full message reads:

“The detrans rate is less than 1%”….National data in Germany: gender dysphoria Dx*

Persistence was below 50%

Lowest persistence: 27.3% in women aged 15 to 19

→ 72.7% non-persistence/desistance in the adolescent group

Highest persistence: 49.7% in men aged 20 to 24.

*Consider the thousands of people who gave up before Dx

This means that half of men and almost three-quarters of women who report experiencing gender dysphoria do not report talking to their doctor about it at all.

And Germany is not alone.

Both the Netherlands and the United States show patterns of defection.

To be clear, quitting transgender doesn’t necessarily mean they stopped identifying as transgender, but it’s safe to say that it’s safe to assume that lack of treatment has led to a lack of real care or, at least, that the intensity of worry will only lead to an even greater lack of worry in the long run.

Fashion fades. Society has largely rejected it, and now those who initially accepted it, for one reason or another, are left to come out as well.

Of course, you didn’t have to be Nostradamus to see this coming. From the earliest days, it was clear how destructive the transgender movement was, especially for children.

As I wrote in 2024, one of the pioneering researchers who studied transgenderism among young people was sounding the alarm that transgenderism was something much deeper since 2015:

Some came from families with multiple psychosocial problems. Most of them had difficult early childhoods, marked by developmental difficulties, such as extreme tantrums and social isolation. Many had academic difficulties. It was common for them to be bullied, but usually not regarding their sexual presentation. As teenagers, they were lonely and withdrawn. Some were no longer in school and spent all their time alone in their rooms. They suffered from depression and anxiety, some suffered from eating disorders, many engaged in self-harm, a few had experienced psychotic episodes. A lot-a lot…were on the autism spectrum.

When Dr. Riittakerttu Kaltiala of Finland raised the alarm, the global medical community told her to keep it to herself. Indeed, it has become a trend. As I wrote in 2021, Planned Parenthood whistleblowers were talking about how young girls were showing up at clinics and starting hormone treatments for little to no real reason. They seemed to treat it the same as getting your ears pierced.

The most interesting thing for me was the fact that, according to the employee, the girls often arrived at the clinic with a group of friends. (What other medical treatments do girls come in with a peer group for?) It felt more like the joyful trips teens once took to the mall to get their ears pierced than the sober medical treatment for a real mental health disorder.

It was, for all intents and purposes, the most popular thing to do.

But now we’re seeing trans fashion disappear, and good riddance. Transgenderism has been one of the most destructive things to happen to young people since Ritalin.
