This Eye-Catching Indoor Garden Is 20 Percent Off Right Now

Many indoor hydroponic crops Gardening systems are striking centerpieces for the home, but perhaps none more so than Lettuce Grow’s Farmstand.
Founded by Zooey Deschanel and her ex-husband, film producer Jacob Pechenik, Lettuce Grow creates a variety of gardens, including the new No-Pump Countertop Set ($149), which I’m currently testing. Nothing stops guests like the indoor Farmstand. As I described it when I reviewed it last year, it’s as if a giant strawberry planter was reimagined as a decor piece for 2001: A Space Odyssey. The Farmstand’s little brother, the Nook, recently started selling at Costco and immediately became an online sensation among Costco influencers. (Yes, Costco influencers are a thing.) Even my own mother texted me in awe after seeing it in the store, even though I’ve seen the full-size Lettuce Grow many times in my house.
In short, if you’re looking for a stunning gift, a Lettuce Grow garden is sure to deliver, and right now all Farmstands (and Counter Set) are 20% off until May 10 when you enter promo code MOM20.
In addition to indoor models equipped with light rings, there are also outdoor versions without lights that allow you to add rings later if you change your mind. You can choose between a small (18 plants), medium (24 plants), or large (36 plants) farm stand, although each system is fully modular. You can add levels later if you choose with an expansion kit, although Lettuce Grow recommends no more than six in total. Each Farmstand comes with credits for plants to order once you’re ready. When I first reviewed Farmstand, pest infestations (aphids, whiteflies) were a significant problem with plants shipped from a nursery. However, the company has since instituted a quarantine process, instructions for which appear on the packaging of the plants. I followed this with my plants for Counterstand and have had no bug issues since.
Note that the Farmstand’s pump runs every hour and sounds like a toilet flushing for about five minutes straight, so make sure your giftee is OK with that, and he or she may want to add a cart ($60 from Lettuce Grow, or you can probably find one cheaper on Amazon) to make sure it’s easy to move around. It is more or less immobile when full of water. For detailed maintenance needs, check out my full review. I have now used the system for two growing “seasons” and still consider it a great purchase.
