This Steam user just broke the 40,000 games record (not including DLCs)

There are a lot of steam users who have accumulated huge game libraries during their many years as players. It is a meme that so many of these games remain not played for a long time after being acquired, but that does not seem to prevent players from taking much more with each sale of steam.

But a player stands out. Known as Sonixlegend, this user apparently took things in the extreme because he is now recognized as the Steam user with the largest game library. His collection contains more than 40,000 different games bought on Steam, and Valve even awarded him a unique steam badge celebrating this achievement.

According to his Steam profile, Sonixlegend is from Shanghai, China and has been recorded on Steam for 15 years. Meanwhile, he has raised an impressive collection of games to become one of the few people to have more than 30,000 games on Steam. Since this week, he has officially succeeded in the brand 40,000 and has 40,033 titles (when writing this article).

Note that only the full -fledged game titles that have been purchased are included in this count. Games, DLCs and free additional modules are not Understood. (Sonixlegend also has more than 22,000 DLC.)

Here is how much his collection is worth

Sonixlegend may well have the most precious game library on Steam, the Steamdb Tracker site saying that its account is worth around 249,000 USD. If you were to buy all the games on its account at current prices (including discounts), it would cost more than 641,000 USD.

Honestly, hisixlegend has probably never played in the majority of these games – and he probably never will do it – by making it the ultimate “pile of shame”. However, he finished nearly 80,000 achievements, and he apparently liked the free game Extraterrestrial swarm From 2010, that he spent 551 hours playing and unlocking all his achievements.

If he continues to buy games at this rate, Sonixlegend could probably cross the 50,000 game mark in a few years. At this point, Valve may have to create a new 50k badge just for him!
