Trump posts support for embattled Attorney General Pam Bondi

President Donald Trump came out in support of the attorney general besieged Pam Bondi following a dispute between her and the assistant director of the FBI, Dan Bongino, on the treatment by the Ministry of Justice of Jeffrey Epstein’s files.

The Ministry of Justice has decided not to publish additional Epstein files and said there is no list containing Epstein customers. Bongino, frustrated by the Doj’s decision, had a stormy confrontation with Bondi and planned to resign from his post in the middle of the disagreement, according to a person who spoke with Bongino and a familiar source with the interactions that Bongino and the director of the FBI Kash Patel had with Bondi.

Epstein died in 2019 when he was in detention, and a medical examiner tried his death a suicide. He faced charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy.

EPSTEIN file management has become a flash point for disagreements for Maga Conservatives.

Trump sought to unify his party on Saturday, when he went out in favor of Bondi, going to social networks to say that she is doing a “fantastic work” and that his administration should all be “A team.”

The president then appointed the verification of the director of the FBI, Kash Patel, saying that his agency should be focused on a list of other priorities: “Instead of spending a month after month looking at the same old radical and radical inspired document on Jeffrey Epstein.” The list included a call for an investigation into the 2020 elections, which Trump pretended several times was rigged.
