Trump and Hegseth’s ‘Leadership’ Inspired More Recruits

Arlington, Virginie – The Ministry of Defense (DOD) has achieved its military recruitment targets in advance on the calendar after having barely succeeded and sometimes failed under the Biden administration, which prompted the spokesperson for the Pentagon, Sean Parnell, to award the recent success to the “management” displayed by President Donald Trump and the defense secretary Pete Hegseth.
Speaking For journalists from the Pentagon on Wednesday, Parnell announced that the Air Force and Space Force reached their recruitment goals three months earlier, just a month after the Navy and the Army accomplished the same.
“Thanks to the management of President Trump and Secretary Hegseth, the enthusiasm to serve is at a record level. Since November 5, 2024, the US military has seen the mission as the highest recruitment percentage carried out in 30 years,” said DOD official.
When he was asked what factors contributed to the best recruitment under Trump and Hegseth compared to former President Joe Biden and the Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin, Parnell said that the Pentagon “recently resisted a recruitment working group here a few weeks ago to analyze and examine these types of questions.”
He continued: “Recruitment is a constellation of different things … To answer your question directly, I believe that with President Trump as commander -in -chief and Hegseth secretary at the helm here in the DOD, leadership counts – and certainly their leadership and moral clarity with regard to problems and does not serve this country in the department.
“I think the secretary examines a constellation of different things to support the momentum we have now, but the reality is that leadership counts, and the president and the secretary are inspiring leaders,” added Parnell.
In June, the former Breitbart News Pentagon correspondent and the current spokesperson for the Navy department, Kristina Wong, said There were “50% of new more recruits” in March 2025 in March 2024 throughout the army.
“In addition, for the navy specifically, in April 2023, the navy only reached 60% of its objective in April”, it explain in an interview on Breitbart News on Saturday. “In April 2024, it was only 65%, so last April, it was 101%, so it’s a huge leap. It is a big difference, and that indicates major progress under the Trump administration.”
In March 2022, the army announcement This reduced its size due to recruitment difficulties – the first time it happens.
In May 2022 audienceJim Inhofe (R-OK), member of the Senate Armed Services Committee, described him as “more serious than any recruitment challenge that I have known in the years that I am here”.
