Trump Guts California’s Medicaid Over Alleged Fraud

The other speakers are predominantly Protestant Christians, with the notable exceptions of Catholic leaders Bishop Robert Barron and Cardinal Timothy Dolan, as well as Rabbi Meir Soloveichik. The Rev. Paula White-Cain, President Trump’s spiritual advisor, said in a webinar about the April 28 event that the festival “is about the history and foundation of our nation, which was built on Christian values, on the Bible…It’s really about a rededication of the country to God.”
White-Cain, who compared Trump to Jesus, added that the celebration would not include leaders “praying to all these different gods.”
“We are focused on our heritage as a Judeo-Christian nation,” Brittany Baldwin, executive director of the White House Task Force 250, also said during the webinar. “We’ve worked very hard with the faith leaders that we trust… to make sure that we’re hearing their concerns and that we’re giving the right attention to our community of believers, across the country. So I think if you see another religion represented, it’s probably going to be in a small way.”
