Trump Outlines Vision for Next Power Grab Over Blue State and City Officials
President Trump has doubled his vision of Chicago the next city of his administration, while trying to use crime as a cover to occupy and exercise control over the democratic elected officials of the Blue Cities and the States of the country.
On Friday, Trump suggested that the third largest city in the country was the next program for a military style occupation like those he led to Los Angeles and Washington, DC, calling Chicago “in disorder”. During the comments of journalists from the oval office on Monday, Trump reiterated his baseless denigration of the city, calling it “disaster” and “a field of killing”.
“We are entering, we resolve Chicago in a week, maybe less,” Trump told journalists on Monday morning. “But in a week, we will have no crime in Chicago, like no crime at DC”
“We can enter and do it,” he said.
As it was obvious since the moment he sent Troops from the National Guard to DC to do things like patrol tourists in the National Shopping Center, Trump uses right -wing propaganda from decades – focused on fear of fear in urban infernal landscapes allegedly without law – to justify the introduction of the army in democratic cities. It has become an opportunity for Trump to flex power despite the objections of elected democrats and a vehicle that he can use to make his remuneration. As my colleague Josh Marshall noted today, it is an action that allows him to “deprive these states and localities of their freedom and right to government autonomy. Because he wants this power for himself ”.
After Trump did the possibility of sending guards to Chicago afterwards, the governor of Illinois JB Pritzker described the political blow in similar terms: as “an authoritarian takeover of the big cities”. Trump replied by calling Pritzker “corrupt” and “a slob”.

“We won the First World War, the Second World War was called the Ministry of War. Trump threatens Newsom
California Governor Gavin Newsom and the legislature controlled by Democrat officially approved the plans aimed at putting the districts of the Congress redesigned on the ballot in November. This decision is, of course, an attempt to compensate for the damage to what the Republicans have done in Texas when they engage in a mid-cycle gerrymandering at the request of Trump. Trump told journalists at the same press event on Monday that his administration would soon take legal action to try to stop Newsom.
“I think I’m going to pose a prosecution very soon, and I think we are going to succeed,” he said. “We are going to … deposit it through the Ministry of Justice, it will happen.”
